I plan to splurge more this year and really decorate my home the way I've always wanted to.
Tip: If you buy a few decorations each year, right after the holidays, you can gradually add to your collection over time and save around 50-70% on the costs.

That's a great tip, Anon. I know it's hard to feel like spending money on holiday decorations AFTER the holidays are over, but the savings can be tremendous.

I plan to throw a party!!! I've never had a holiday party at my home, and with all this decorating info that I have found through Barbara, I am so very excited to do so!!! I've done some planning in advance...but I really want to take the family out with me when I shop for some new decorations. That way we can do something fun as a family, and everyone will be able to have their input in the decor.

That's a novel idea. Surely you're talking about females. I can't imagine my husband wanting to go shopping for holiday decorations.
